A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My name is Kelly Mitteer. I was successful in business management for 7 years. After the birth of my son I really wanted to stay home with him. I have taken the classes to become certified on weekends and at night. I have completed the Association for Supportive Child Care's 60-hour Child Care Professional Training Course. I have also completed Mesa Community College's courses, Art for Youths and Music for Youths. The state requires that providers are always learning so myself and my staff attend seminars throughout the year. I love to watch how children grow and learn.
I have been "babysitting" since I was 12-years-old so for almost 20 years. I have 14 neices and nephews that range in age six months to nine years old. As I mentioned before I have a 2 year old son, Tyler. He is amazing! I am also pregnant with our 2nd son, Austin. He will be born in November 2007.

HOW WE GOT STARTED
When I had to go back to work (I really didn't want to) I started looking for adequate child care for my son. I was suprised by what I saw. I went to several local day care businesses and didn't find what I was looking for. I also tried a few home day cares. I researched the state requirements and found that many home day cares do not follow the state rules. That is when I decided to get involved. With the help of my Mother we began the quest to create Kelly'z Kidz. My mother and myself are the only child care providers at my daycare. This is a positive for parents becuase we do not have employee turnover. You always know the people who will be taking care of your child. The other positive is the low provider to child ratio. There will never be more than 8 kids at our home at one time and always be two providers for those 8 kids.
